The Raven Hotel

I spent a night at this hotel while visiting friends. We booked a spacious double room that featured a well-appointed bathroom. The room itself was impressively large, allowing for plenty of movement and comfort. The bathroom was lovely, with a stunning walk-in shower. It was a truly enjoyable experience! We look forward to staying again in the future.

Stayed one night for an event in Rutland and this was the most reasonably priced hotel nearby, staff were very accommodating and helpful. Large bar area with seating both inside and outside, and a decent selection to choose from on tap. The room we selected was one with a shared bathroom so we knew we wouldn't have much in the way of amenities. Our room was outside of the main corridor of rooms which worked in our favour as it was quiet. The bed and pillow were very thin so it was a bit uncomfortable, but as it was only a night it was tolerable. The shared bathroom was actually very clean and seemed to have not been used much during my stay, so I was impressed with this!

Called and managed to book a table on a Sunday for the carvery. We were greeted with friendliness and professionalism. Drinks were served quickly.. The carvery was fantastic, the meat portion size was more than adequate with the usual help yourself veg. We had roulade and torte for dessert, both delicious. Not our first visit..and we always leave happy and full.

Afternoon tea, was amazing, I had the vegan option, friends had the normal option. We were so impressed especially ny vegan tea. The choice of foods and cakes was great

Had a lovely afternoon tea here to celebrate a baby shower. The sandwiches, cakes, tea and coffees were lovely, as were the staff. We always have a nice time here.

Haven’t stayed here but if food and staff anything to go by I can highly recommend. Good location, plenty of parking. Good prices for food. Nice and roomy restaurant. Lovely friendly staff

This is the kind of inn where you get what you pay for. It's very cheap and affordable, with a continental breakfast included, but the rooms are also quite basic, so don't come looking for 5* luxury. However, if you're looking for a cheap stay where you're planning to be out all day it's a perfectly nice place to stay. The staff were very friendly and hospitable. The only thing I might personally change (which would be very easy to do) would be to have some decaf tea/coffee options in the bedrooms. I should also note that very light sleepers, ear plugs are fairly essential as the walls are quite thin. Overall, great value for money and perfect for what we were looking for.

We had a room booking here - we hired the Raven Hall for a research event and were so pleased with the space and with the support from staff. Lots of parking spaces, but also walkable to the station if need be. All friendly people, coffee and tea availble. Highly recommend.
